Small Diameter DR Drills
ISCAR is expanding the DR drills family with drills in a diameter as small as 12 mm. These drills are designed with twisted coolant channels which allow for a strong body with excellent resistance to torsion and very efficient chip evacuation.
The new drills are made of steel, featuring a body hardness up to 55 HRc and HARD TOUCH nickel coating for better wear resistance and smooth chip flow. DR small diameter drills are mounted with new rectangular inserts that were specially developed for small sizes.
These new AOMT inserts have 2 cutting edges and will be supplied with a DT chipbreaker in grades IC1008, IC908 and SUMO TEC IC808 grades. The DR small diameter drills have the ability to drill in all kinds of materials and for various applications, providing phenomenal results.
They are available in drilling depth to diameter ratios of 2D, 3D and 4D in a diameter range of 12 to 13.5 mm.
